Pigs do better on Berkshire triticale An Up for Adoption article by Program 1 Manager, Dr Ray King, in the March/April edition of the Pork Journal, has highlighted the benefits of feeding Berkshire triticale to pigs in southern Australia. Pigs fed diets containing Berkshire , a high yielding triticale developed by the Pork CRC and the University of Sydney, with support from GRDC, perform as well or slightly better than those fed wheat, even allowing for the often lower digestible energy (DE) content of Berkshire.
