Reopening of applications for Pork CRC Honours awards Adobe Acrobat
The CRC for High Integrity Australian Pork is seeking further applications for Honours awards with applications closing on February 14, 2012.
Honours awards carry a stipend of $10,000, half of which is paid to the student with the other half to cover operational costs. Preference will be given to applicants whose Honours project will be conducted within Pork CRC projects, however other relevant applications will be considered. The Pork CRC objectives and milestones for all programs are available  on the Research page
The CRC for High Integrity Australian Pork is specifically seeking Honours award applications in the following areas, however applications will be considered across all four Pork CRC program areas
- Behaviour and welfare of sows kept in groups in gestation and/or lactation (Program 1, Sub Programs 1A and 1C).
- The nutrition, performance and/or health of piglets under new lactation housing and management systems (Program 1, Subprogram 1B)
- Alternative health management and/or disease monitoring (Program 2, Subprograms 2A, 2B and 2C).
- Mitigation of carbon outputs and/or evaluation of novel alternative feed ingredients (Program 4, Subprograms 4A and 4C)
